Jacobs Chiropractic Acupuncture Center and Taco Escobarr proudly present the first annual “Beards B-Cause!” Greater Portland’s first beard growing contest benefiting, “Mystache Fights Cancer.” The fundraiser involves the participation of local bartenders, waitstaff, kitchen help and chefs.

In cooperation with Brian Boru, Bull Feeney's, Dogfish Cafe, Downeast Beverage, Duck Fat, Empire Dine & Dance, Farmer's Table, Geary's, Gritty McDuff's, Joe’s Slice Bar, Margarita's, Men’s Room Salon for Men, Nappi’s, Nosh Kitchen Bar, Ohno Cafe, Pizza Villa, Port City Music Hall, Portland Lobster Company, Portland Pie Co., Rosemont Cafe, RiRa Irish Pub, Rivalries, Salon KLM, Seasons Grille, Sebago Brewery, Station A, South Portland Wine Co., Whitecap, Y.M.C.A., VEX Portland and more local retailers added daily, this event is the first of its kind in Portland. 

Our Goal is to raise 25,000 dollars for growing the longest, biggest or just craziest beard you can to benefit “My Stache Fights Cancer.”

All participants are asked to TALK IT UP!! And make sure the word gets out there, by letting people know why we are a bunch of knuckle-heads growing beards. Also a commitment to attend the kick off party @ Nosh, and the coming out party @ Port City Music Hall (date to be announced). The location with the most money raised will win a prize and be honored along with other participating locations.

All participating locations will be asked to hang a poster with information about the cause along with a link on their website for people to make donations. Our website will list all participating locations with links to their individual website.
